Robert Julian White, 60, a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at his residence with his family. He was of the Baptist Faith. A veteran of the United States Army, he served in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star, Defense Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal w/ 3 Oak Leaf Clusters with V-Device. He was a kind hearted and loving man, a fantastic father and the best grand daddy ever. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.G. White and Thelma Cook White; sisters, Dorothy Farris and Barbara Carroll and brother, Arthur "Butch" White. Survivors include his three children; Jennifer Suzanne White of Cleveland,Cynthia White Werner and husband David Werner of Charlotte, NC and Lori Elizabeth Cagle and husband Rocky Cagle of Charleston; four grandchildren: Sierra Suzanna Laurenz White, Tori Ann Cagle, Max Julian Werner and Vincent Edward Werner; sisters, Marie Hartert and Faye McConkey; aunts, Florence Cook and Dorothy Bivens and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Fike Funeral Home.
