Mary Ruth Lawson

Mary "Ruth" Lawson, 85, a resident of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in a local hospital. She was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late N.T. and Mary Burchfiel Thompson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Lawson and brothers, Claude Thompson and Clyde Thompson. Survivors include her daughter, Fredricka Lawson; son Lynwood Lawson and wife, Genia; two grandsons, Lyn Lawson and wife, Melissa and Heath Lawson and wife, Heather; one great-grandson, Ryan Lawson all of Cleveland; brother, Curtis Thompson of Cape Coral FL; half sister, Reba Watson of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Millie Thompson of Auburn, NY and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Fike Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
