Reba Moreland Hooper, 75, a resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the family residence. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Reba was retired from the United States Postal Service. She was Cleveland's first female postal carrier; she walked her route faithfully for many years. Reba loved her family and the many friends who always became members of her extended family. She will be missed by all who were privileged to share her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Jewell Moreland; husband, James Cue Hooper; son, Paul Cue Hooper; sisters: Christine Stuman, Virginia Haight, Geraldine Rodgers and Jean Moreland. She is survived by her son, James Michael Hooper of Savannah, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gary Rohlfs of Cleveland; grandchildren: Amanda and Keith Vega of Cleveland, Andrew Allmon of Etowah, TN and Kara and Michael Hooper of Savannah, GA; great grandchildren, Bryson and Dayne Vega of Cleveland; sister, Irene Murray of Cleveland, sister- in-law and husband Beverly and Crawford Burns and brother-in-law Jackie Hooper all of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, October 26, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Seaton officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be active and retired postal workers of the Cleveland office. Interment will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in Sunset Memorial gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2009 at the funeral home prior to the service.
