Helen R. Willhoit, 89, a longtime resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, October 9, 2009. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Helen was a licensed cosmetologist, working in the Cleveland area for over 60 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all. She enjoyed reading her Bible and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Columbus Green and Cornie Mae Robinson Green; husband, Eugene "Gene" Willhoit; sister, Lillian Marie Gaines Winston and brother, Thomas Charles Green. She is survived by her son, Tommy Willhoit and wife Cheryl of Cleveland and daughter, Rebecca Gray of Cleveland; grandchildren: Douglas Beaty, Sharon Colaw, Thomas Christopher Beaty, Michael Beaty, Leah Willhoit, Thomas Charles Willhoit, Jody Delk, Richie Tankersley and Taylor Willhoit; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral with Reverend Bill Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Thomas C. Willhoit, Thomas C. Beaty, Brad Colaw, Douglas Beaty, R. Michael Beaty and Richie Tankersley serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the funeral home.
