Armor H. Reece

Armor H. Reece, 79, a resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 in a Georgia hospital. He was a graduate of Model High School in Rome, GA., and a graduate of North Georgia College, class of 1953. Mr. Reece was retired from the Textile Industries; he was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seaborn and Ella Reece. He is survived by his daughters, Malinda Burnette and husband Richard, Kitty Ruberti and husband Jim; son, Greg Reece and wife JoAnn of Cleveland; grandchildren, Eric Burnette, J.R. Burnette, Kate Lawson and Abby Reece; great grandson, Tucker Huffman Burnette; brother, J.D. Reece of Cummings, GA; sister, Jalaine Reece of Rome , GA.; special friend, Annie Coker and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Rusty Asble and Larry Lankford officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. J.P. Reid, Darrell Ledford, J.D. Reece, Jr., Eddie Bowers, Chuck Conley and James "Hoss" Matthews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the funeral home and Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.
