Dorothy Marr Brock

Dorothy Marr Brock, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday September 29, 2009 at the family residence. She was a member of Mission Oaks Baptist Church in East Ridge. She will be remembered by her years of service at Millers Department Store and Harshbarger & Stratton Department Store. She enjoyed her time spent caring for her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Marr and Maye Edwards Marr; husband, Hoyt Henry Brock; twin sister, Doris Ponder, brother, Earl Marr and sister, Mary Sue Crisp. Survivors include her two children: Dwight E. Millsaps and wife, Missy and Freida J. Hindman and husband, Jim W. all of Cleveland; three step children: Gary Brock and wife, Becky of Knoxville, Kenneth Brock and wife, Harriet and Suzanne Jones and husband, Phillip all of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Bianca L. Hudson, Heather K. Espinoza, Joseph E. Millsaps and Seth W. Hindman and Amanda L Hindman; three great grandchildren: Evan P. Millsaps, Ethan T. Millsaps and Sofia L. Espinoza and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 2, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Tony McClanahan officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Jim Hindman, Seth Hindman, Joe Millsaps, Gary Brock, Mitch Rogers and Warren Lawson, Jr. serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the funeral home.
