Edwin S. Simon, Jr.

Edwin "Ed" Simon, Jr., 70, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 in a local hospital with his wonderful wife of 32 years at his side. Mr. Simon was a retired Philadelphia Enquirer employee of 25 years. His interests included his soul mate, children, grand children and great grandchild. He loved life and people in general and always believed in looking at people for who they were inside. As attested by many he was an avid and loyal Washington Redskins fan. Mr. Simon is survived by his wife, Barbara Simon; his children, Donna Brown and her husband Brandon of Cleveland, TN, David Cropley of Elmira, NY, Steven Cropley of Elmira, NY, Edwin (Eddie) Simon lll of Sayre, PA and William (Bill) Simon and his wife Jackie of Waverly, NY; sisters, Cass and Janice and brother Paul. He had 9 grandchildren, Michael Cropley, Joseph Rogers, Brandy Rogers, Kristina Brown, Brandon Brown, Jr., Lauren Cropley, Destiny Simon, Kenna Simon, Carter Simon and one great grandchild, Michael Cropley, Jr. A private memorial service will be held by the family on Thursday, September 16, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. "Hail to the Redskins" We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Simon family guestbook at www.fikefh.com
