Danny L. Trotter, Sr.

November 14, 1945 — September 4, 2009

Danny L. Trotter, Sr., 63, a longtime resident of Bradley County passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 in a Nashville hospital. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Danny was a great dad and papaw. He was a people person and never met a stranger; Danny was always ready to lend a helping hand, regardless the task. He was a member of Painter's local union, #226 and Cleveland/Bradley Umpire's Association. He was retired from Peyton's Southeastern. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Trotter and Texie Shepard Trotter; daughter, Lenda Trotter; brother, Jimmy Trotter; sisters, Mildred Key, Ruth Newberry and Mattie Lee Hammonds. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ina Moore Trotter of Cleveland; son, Lamar Trotter and wife Karen; granddaughter, Sarah Trotter; brothers, Tommy Trotter, Johnny Trotter, Billy Trotter and wife Frances all of Cleveland and Ray Trotter and wife Blondie of Macon, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
