Rebecca "Becky" Bledsoe Milligan, 54, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in a Chattanooga hospital. Becky went home to be with the Lord and her family after a 12 year battle with cancer. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland where she played in the church orchestra. She was the Survivor Chairman for the Bradley Relay for Life, which was one of her greatest passions. She was also a member of the Cleveland Music Club and Delta Kappa Gamma and ADK teacher sororities. She was employed with the Cleveland City Schools as a music teacher at E.L. Ross Elementary school. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Milligan; parents, Sam and Virginia A. Bledsoe and her grandson, Caden Roy VanNostran. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Richie VanNostran of Cleveland; grandchildren, Michael Joseph and Margaret Rebecca "Maggie" VanNostran of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Cereta and Todd Beck of Cleveland; father-in-law, J.O. Milligan, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Melissa Milligan of Ft. Mill, SC; nieces, Taylor Beck of Cleveland and Sarah Milligan of Ft. Mill, SC; nephews, Joe and John Milligan of Ft. Mill, SC. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Gibson and Reverend Alan Lockerman officiating. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Benny Kirksey, Tony Cavett, Jim Gibson, Demick Moore, Mike Connolly and Robbie Cody serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
