Pearl Gamble, age 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday morning, August 7, 2009 at the home of her son. She was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. She was formerly employed at J.H. Kellman for fifteen years. She was the daughter of the late James D. Singleton and Velma Rymer Singleton. She was also preceded in death by her husband nine months ago, R. L. Gamble and her son Dennis Gamble who passed away five weeks ago. Survivors include her two children, Luther Gamble of Cleveland and Larry Gamble and wife Marian all of Cleveland; daughter in law, Kathy Gamble of Cleveland; four sisters: Marie Everett of Cleveland, Edith Vance of Ohio, Dorothy Ware of Birchwood, and Nancy Harlin of Dayton, TN.; one brother: Wayne Singleton of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: James Gamble, Traci Cochran, Timothy Gamble, Amy Carson, Robert Gamble and Adam Gamble all of Cleveland and Dwayne Gamble of Chicago, IL.; eleven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Darren Fansler officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. A White Dove Release ceremony will conclude the service.
