Dorothy Mae Smith

Dorothy Mae Eves Stevison Smith, a resident of Cleveland passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the family residence. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Spence and Bertha Eves, first husband, Mack E. Stevison; second husband, Leonard E. Smith; grandchild, Anthony Dewayne Floyd; sister-in-law, Frankie Rayfield. She is survived by her children; Terry and Deborah Stevison, Ronald and Frieda Stevison, Sharon and Gary Nelson, Lora Ann and Richard Guffey, and Doris Kathleen and Carl Shane Driver all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Brian Stevison of Hickory, NC, Ronald E. Stevison, Jr. of Maryland, Dustin Stevison, Larry Joe Stevison, Chandra Reanae Wells, Melinda Roberts, Anthony Guffey, Sandra Anette Kerr, Gary Lee Nelson, Anna Evans, and Christian Driver all of Cleveland; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Billy Rayfield of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Plumley officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Ronald E. Stevison, Jr., James Wells, Tony Rayfield, Richard Guffey, Dustin Stevison, Brian Stevison and Anthony Guffey serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and from 1-2 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
