Lou Coppinger, 93, a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Alice Martin. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Lou, affectionately Known as "Nana" was a blessing to all that were fortunate enough to know her. She was an avid bowler and would never turn down a challenging card game. Although she worked for a time in the family owned business, she preferred to be at home taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her lifelong love, her husband, George B. Coppinger; parents, Edward and Mary Alice Martin; granddaughter, Lynne Coppinger and daughter-in-law, B.J. Coppinger. She is survived by her three sons, Gary Coppinger, Ronald Coppinger and wife Oleta and Turner (Sonny) Coppinger and wife Sarah Joe; six grandchildren, Annette Frost and husband Craig Frost, Dawn Kimball and husband Paul Kimball, Cindy Robertson and husband Scott Robertson, Jon Coppinger, Chris Coppinger and Amy Coppinger all of Cleveland; six great grandchildren, Jeniffer Dip, Jessica Wolfenden, Will Robertson, Drake Robertson, Carissa Frost and Carly Frost; three great-great grandchildren; nieces, Peggy Reeves and husband Jim of Manchester, TN. Fanlee Joyner and husband Tommy of Hixon, TN; several great nieces and nephews, along with many special friends that love her and will miss her greatly. A celebration of her life service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday July 8, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Cecil Guiles officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chris Coppinger, Paul Kimball, Scott Robertson, Jonathon Dip, Blake Wolfenden and Craig Frost serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
