Reba Jean Martin, 77, departed this world early Sunday morning, July 5, 2009 with family beside her. She was a lifelong resident of Bradley County. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Magic Chef and assisted in the day-to-day operations of Hoyt Goins Used Cars. She loved her Westwood Baptist Church family and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. Her valiant struggle with cancer is over, but her example of bravery will live on in those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her three daughters, Hoyt Goins; her mother and father, J.R. and Mattie McMillan and one sister, Louise McMillan Chase. She is survived by her present husband of 17 years, Ronnie Martin and her three children, Mrs. Cathy Elkins (John), Mrs. Marti Hyatt (Bill) and Mrs. Gina Bell (Rick). She leaves behind her four grandchildren, Amber Elkins, Tiffany Hyatt Noble (Robb) and Camden and Kimsey Bell. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Caywood officiating Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Randall Goins, Larry Hobby, Lake Jones, Spence Prichard, Larry Smith and Larry Keller serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
