David Michael Goodner

February 11, 1957 — June 19, 2009

David Michael Goodner, 52, a resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at Vanderbilt Hospital. He was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. Mr. Goodner was self employed as a pipe fitter. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jackson Goodner and Willie Kay Morrow Goodner; sisters, Stella May Cannon and Wanda Sue Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Goodner of Cleveland; step-children, Amber Davis of Cleveland and Ryan Moses of Cleveland; sister, Elouise Burke and husband Charles of Dahlonega, Ga.; brother, James G. Goodner and wife Joye of Cleveland; nieces, Lisa Corin, Kelly Cheatham, Tanna Green and Missy Mathews; nephews, Jeff Burke, Greg Burke, David Goodner, Joel Goodner, Ernie Cannon and Terry Johnson; several great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Evangelist James Scott and Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Joel Goodner, Terry Johnson, Ernie Cannon, Ronnie Daily, Rick Owens and Billy Swafford serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
