Tommie Olsson, age 90, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009. She was a dedicated life-long member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. A lifelong resident of Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Maggie and Joe McCulley. After graduating from Bradley High School, she attended Chattanooga Business College in Chattanooga, before becoming a secretary at Brown Stove Works. She was the widow of Arthur Olsson and was preceded in death by two sisters, Winnie Vaughn and Juanita McCulley and one very special niece, Wilma Wallace. Survivors include her son and his wife, Philip and Gayle Olsson of Alton, Ontario, Canada; daughter and her husband, Tana and John Slater of Sunbright, TN., grandsons, Erik and Julian Olsson of Canada, granddaughter and her husband, Jana and Cole Hosenfeld of Knoxville, granddaughter and her husband, Jessica and Mark Rosenthal of Louisville and two great-granddaughters, Jane and Clara Hosenfeld of Knoxville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in the Chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
