Richard Smith

Richard D. Smith, 79, a long time resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at his residence. He was a member of the North Cleveland Church Of God. Mr. Smith enjoyed fishing, dancing and music. He served with the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Nell Smith; parents, Hezekiah and Katie Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Crye and husband Kevin of Cleveland; long time fiancé, Joyce Wright; sister, Dora Nell Fischer of Miss.; brother, Albert Smith of Fla.; grandchildren, Austin Davenport, Brandi Russell, Michelle Wright, Christian Russell and Alex Russell. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday April 28, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Rhea Memory Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
