Kathaleen Cass

Kathaleen Cass, 85, a resident of Cleveland went home to be with the Lord Monday morning, April 20, 2009 She was the wife of the late Houston Cass and the daughter of the late George W. Payne and Nellie Mae Payne. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She loved to attend and participate in the activities at the Senior Center. She was a loving mother of four children: Virginia Jo Taylor of Raleigh, NC, Jane Maupin and husband, Wendell of Cleveland, James (Jim) Cass of Cleveland and Robert Cass of Juliette, GA; a loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and a special great grandson, Cameron Cass. She will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Karl Cass presenting the eulogy and the Reverend Johnny Hood officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery with Robert Cass, James Cass, Houston K. Cass, Aaron Maupin, Coy Maupin, Michael Cass, Cody Cass, Robert Cass and Houston Cass serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from noon-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
