Dennis Edward Cox, 54, a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a past member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. He was a lifelong Tennessee Vols fan. He was Captain of the football team of Bradley Central High School, Class of 1972, where he received the honor "Mr. Bradley" of football. Dennis was an accomplished guitar player and he loved music. He played guitar accompaniment for the community musical, Cry Of The Owl and the First Baptist Church Production of Cotton Patch Gospel. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.E. Cox and Virginia Cody Cox and nephew, Clark Steven Gatlin. He is survived by wife, Debbie Cox of Cleveland; children, Jennifer Cox Hammonds and husband Chuck, Amanda Cox, all of Cleveland and Jeremy Richardson and wife Sydney of Nashville. Grandchildren, Charlie Edward Hammonds, Shelby Diane Hammonds and Sydney Alyssa Richardson; sister, Connie Gatlin and husband Steve of Cleveland and niece, Abigail Lindsey.
