James Wright

October 17, 1932 — November 8, 2008

The highway construction industry lost an Icon with the passing of James D. Wright. Mr. Wright, 76, a resident of Cleveland passed away peacefully Saturday, November 8, 2008. He was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ in Fairfield, Tennessee.

James, along with his wife Anne and his brother Robert and his wife Barbara founded Wright Brothers Construction Co. 47 years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Mary Wright of Fairfield, Tennessee.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Wright of Athens, TN.; daughter, Teresa Horne of Cleveland and her husband Ron Horne of Ridge Spring, South Carolina; granddaughter, Jenna Doran and her husband Jonathen of Fairfield, Tennessee; sister, Mary Ann Price and her husband Tom of Lynchburg, Tennessee and brother, Robert Wright and his wife Barbara of Charleston, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Fairfield Church of Christ Tuesday, November 11, 2008 from 1-3 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Hazel Cemetery, Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Please join us for a celebration of his life at noon Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the office of Wright Brothers Construction Company, Charleston, TN.
