David Randall Thompson, age 54, a lifelong resident of Bradley County passed away, Thursday morning October 26, 2006 at his home. He was a pipe fitter and welder and a member of Local 43. He was employed by King Mechanical. Mr. Thompson enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Thompson four months ago, and his step father, James Martin.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Crowe Martin of Cleveland son, David Randall Spider Thompson of Cleveland; daughters: Shasta Dawn Mason of Daytona Beach, FL and Tracy Ann Lynn of Cleveland; sister, Pam Lawson of Cleveland; brothers: Mike Thompson and Craig Martin of Cleveland; half brothers, John Thompson and Tim Thompson of Charleston and step mother, Leeta Hamby Thompson of Charleston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Michael Farmer, David Goodner, Terry Skinner, Ronnie Dailey, Dale Miller and Lee Slack serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service
