Margaret Hamilton Tatum, 93, a resident of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in a local hospital.
She was a charter member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. Mrs. Tatum was owner and operator of Margaret's House of Fashions for 38 years; she was also a member of numerous local clubs.
She was preceded in death by parents; William Brownlow Hamilton and Sallie Lawson Hamilton; brothers, Elbert, Virgil, Vaughn and Creed "Shan" Hamilton; sisters, Mae Ragsdale, and Marie Ellis; grandchildren; Chris Wayne Tatum, and Britaney Wells.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years Claude B. Tatum and one son, Larry Tatum of Cleveland and one daughter, Bernita Tatum of Naples, FL., grandchildren; Don and Dean Tatum of Cleveland, one sister, Florence Kaplan of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. September 23, 2007 at the North Cleveland Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Cleveland Baptist Church Building Fund, 2815 North Ocoee St., Cleveland, TN 37312.
Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Fike Funeral Home.
