John W. Stewart

John W. Stewart, age 90, passed away, Wednesday, January 03, 2007 in a local hospital. He was a member of North Cleveland Church of God. Mr. Stewart was the owner and President of Lou-Mar Wholesale Master Distribution Products in Cleveland, TN; he was also the owner of Johnstone Supply and later Stewart Wholesale Supply in Austin, TX and employed for several years with the G.E. Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles L. Stewart and Lela Odom Stewart; his wife of 68 years, Lois M. Helton Stewart, who passed away in October 2006; brothers: Opie Stewart and Jim Stewart and sister, Ollie Benefield.

He is survived by his son, John R. Stewart and wife, Nancy Stewart of Honolulu, HI; daughter, Judy Davidson and husband, Chuck Davidson of Chattanooga; grandchildren: Kurt Davidson and Kimberly Baxter of Chattanooga, Shonna Felkel of Greenville, SC and Shaun Stewart of New York; brother, Chloe Stewart of Cleveland; sisters: Ethel Knowles, Edna Stewart Pate, and Nellie Stewart Cornutt all of Gaston, AL and Alice Stewart Kelly of Rossville, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

His family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
