Nancy R. Singleton

Nancy R. Singleton, 93, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church for 77 years.
Mrs. Singleton was the daughter of the late William West and Rosetta Smith West and was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Singleton; one sister, Mary Miller and three brothers: Ted West, Ben West and Jim West.
She is survived by her two children: Cecil Singleton and wife Jerri Singleton and Laura Tinsley all of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Kathy Ramirez, Cindie Triplett, Lynn Tinsley, Kay Stuart and Todd Tinsley all of Cleveland; nine great-grandchildren; special friends, Ed and Opal Knight of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Victor Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Ramsey Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The deacons of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Fike Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
