Jane Bird Siegrist

Jane Bird Siegrist born November 2, 1928 in KY passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008 at her home in Birchwood, where she has resided for the past eight years, formerly of Cleveland. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dayton. Mrs. Siegrist was employed by Medical Center Pharmacy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Siegrist and was the daughter of the later Elmer Bird and Eva Petree Bird.

She is survived by four children and spouses: Jimmy and Kate Siegrist and Jeffrey and Mary Siegrist all of Pawleys Island, SC; Jennifer and Scott Anderson of Knoxville and Janie and Joe Moore of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren: Erik Siegrist of Toronto, Canada, Emily and Nicholas Siegrist of Lancaster, PA, Joseph Siegrist of VA, Benjamin Siegrist of Washington D.C, William Siegrist of Bend, OR, Mandy Moore-Esplin of Salt Lake City, UT, Sarah Jo Moore and Dan Moore both of Cleveland, Jack Anderson and Andrew Anderson of Knoxville; two great-grandchildren: Connor Moore of Cleveland and Madaline Siegrist of Lancaster, PA; niece and spouse, Suzanne and Michael Bell; nephew and spouse, Jon and Diane Bird, all of Knoxville.

A memorial service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Rev. John Anderson officiating. A private interment will be held in Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville with her grandchildren serving as honorary pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
