John William Rutledge

John William Rutledge, 82, a resident of Cleveland passed away Sunday May 18, 2008 at the family residence. He attended Cohulla Baptist Church. Mr. Rutledge enjoyed making a garden every year.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William F. Rutledge and Elsie Bearden Rutledge; wife, Leatha Rutledge; sisters, Florence Moore and Matteal Spence and brother, Floyd Waters.
He is survived by brothers, Thomas Rutledge and wife Janice and Doyle Rutledge and wife Eleen both of Cleveland; sisters, Earline Pritchett, Lorene Brown and Jean Phillips all of Cleveland, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday May 21, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Cohutta Baptist Church Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home
