Elizabeth Reeser

February 28, 1923 — August 19, 2008

Elizabeth Reeser, 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She was employed as a seamstress at Hardwick Clothes for many years. Elizabeth was well known as an excellent seamstress and altered the suits for the staff at Fike Funeral Home for a number of years. Cooking was another of her talents and she enjoyed making homemade bread and giving it to her many friends. In her later years she kept in touch with friends by telephone. She always had a beautiful smile and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe "Salty" Reeser; son, Gary D. Reeser; parents, Herbert and Stella McCallum; brother, Bill McCallum; sisters: Lula Mae Buchanan and Anna Lee Coe; granddaughter, Robin Leigh Ragsdale.

She is survived by her daughters: Stella French, Rose Marie Shults and husband, Willis "Fat" Shults all of Cleveland, Betty Ragsdale and husband, Frank Ragsdale of TX; grandchildren: Joe Shults of Cleveland, Tracy Shults of Chattanooga; Brian French of GA, Casey Ragsdale of TX, Lisa Bennett of GA; 1 sister, Loma Beck of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dewey and Wanda Farmer and a host of other friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, August 22, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Roger Wagner and the Reverend Huel Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tracy Shults, Joe Shults, Odell Lewis, Johnny Sosebee, Reed Sullivan and Tommy Higgins serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family requests memorials be made to Berean Baptist Church Building Fund, 2355 Buckspocket Rd. SE, Old Fort, TN 37362.
