Ardelia “Deal” Elizabeth Ratcliff

August 2, 1924 — January 6, 2008

Ardelia "Deal" Elizabeth Ratcliff, 85, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on January 6, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Martin B. and Lula Carson.

She was a very loving and caring person who was faithful to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to her beloved Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. She retired from Sanda Hoisery Mills after more than twenty years of service. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons; Edward Ratcliff and Donald Ratcliff and wife Penny of Cleveland, daughter; Shelia Lovell and husband Howard of Benton, grandchildren; Cristy McCracken and husband Joe, David T. Humberd II and wife Christie, Zac Humberd and wife Rachel, Jason Ratcliff, Andy Ratcliff and wife April, Nikki Rapert, all of Cleveland, Nate Rapert of Winter Haven, Fla. and Sharon Morgan and husband Todd of Jacksonville, Fla., great grandchildren; Megan McCracken, Emily McCracken, Mikahla Gay, Noah Ratcliff, Ella Allmon and Brooklyn Humberd all of Cleveland, sister; Eunice Sweeten of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Victor Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the Chilcutt Cemetery with Andy Ratcliff, Jason Ratcliff, Davy Humberd, Zac Humberd, Joe McCracken and Mark Ratcliff serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, at Fike Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
