Dorothy Elizabeth Prentice

Dorothy Elizabeth Prentice, age 79, a lifelong resident of Meigs County, passed away Thursday, December 07, 2006 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Prentice was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Rodgers and Rose Pruitt Rodgers; husband, Robert E. Prentice; son, Terry Edward Prentice and grandson, Preston Edward Williford.

She is survived by her children: Bobby Prentice of Decatur, Johnny Prentice of Georgetown, Retha Womack of Birchwood, Linda Wright and Karen Williford both of Georgetown, Jeff Prentice and Patsy Quarles both of Birchwood; grandchildren: Kathy Bennett, Mary Brown, Chad Prentice, Sheila Prentice, Jamie Prentice, Angie Standridge, Anna Cross, Linda Mullins, Tony Wright, Travis Wright, Becky Allen, Tammy Nation, Daniel Quarles, Johnathan Quarles and Bobbie Jean Rienhart; sister, Wardie Knight of Ooltewah; and nineteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in McClanahan Cemetery with Daniel Quarles, Chad Prentice, Randy Cross, Tommy Rinehart, Troy Nation, Craig Standridge and Herbert Whitner serving as pallbearers.
