Ms Martha J Plank

Martha Plank, 92, a residence of Cleveland for 43 years died Monday, October 13, 2008, at the family residence. She was a teacher at Templeton High School, Arnold School and Meigs County Schools and was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church

She was preceded in death by her loving soul mate and beloved husband, the Reverend Omar Plank; her parents C.A. and Vilena Grissom; and four brothers: Audie Grissom, Lloyd Grissom, Calvin Grissom and Dean Grissom.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and her special caregivers Anna Lee Murphy and Sharon Brown.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Ernest German officiating. Interment will be held following the service at Johnston Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

Pallbearers include Richard Brown, Wayne Murphy, J.C. Roderick, Bobby Durham, Stacy Rymer and Walter Brown.

Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the funeral home.
