Perry D. Parker

December 24, 1917 — September 15, 2008

Perry D. Parker, 90, a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 at the family residence. He attended Philippi Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Parker was a well known carpenter in the Bradley County area.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Anderson Parker; parents, James Samuel Parker and Edna Franks Parker; infant son, David Allen Parker; grandson, Kelly James Parker; sisters: Aulma Buckner and Dorothy Ramsey; brothers: Paul Parker, Clifton Parker, Lewis Parker and Aud Parker.

He is survived by four children: James C. Parker and wife, Shirley of Lander, WY, Sara Norwood and husband, Lonnie of Riceville, Judy K. McFall and husband, Donnie of Lake Mary, FL, Roger Parker and wife, Carol of Shoshoi, WY; 8 grandchildren: Michael Parker, Scott D. Norwood, Terri Lynn Anderson, Craig S. Norwood, Tanner B. McFall, Carrie Norwood Allen, Andrew Tyler Parker and William Tucker McFall;14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Cecil Parker, Neal Parker and Robert Parker and wife, Rose all of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Lela Ruth Parker and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Philippi Baptist Church with the Reverend Sammy Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tanner McFall, Andrew Tyler Parker, Michael Parker, Scott D. Norwood, Craig S. Norwood, Brandon Norwood and Dakota Norwood serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
