Ernestine Ownby

Ernestine Ownby, 76, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007 at his residence. She attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She had taken care of her family and was a very loving mother and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a large meal cooked every Sunday for all of her kids. She was retired from Duracell.

Mrs. Ownby was the daughter of the late William Wilson and Lula Gamble Wilson and was also preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Ownby; one sons, Stephen Ownby and Scott Ownby.

She is survived by three daughters and spouses: Linda and Tony Cissom and Rhonda Ownby all of Cleveland and Debbie and Tim Taylor of Tunnel Hill, GA; two sons: Ronnie Ownby and Darrell Ownby both of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Brandy Green, Mandy Collett, Tina Adkins and Stephen Davis; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Higgins officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Pittman Cemetery in Sevier County, TN.

Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Fike Funeral Home.
