Edith "Edie" Nunley, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 18, 2007 at a local hospital. Mrs. Nunley was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She and her husband, Gordon, loved attending church and were both avid Gospel Music lovers. Mrs. Nunley was a beloved wife mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Myers and Fannie Childers Myers.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon, of 67 years; children: Allan Nunley and wife, Janice of Cleveland and Brenda Kniep of AZ; four grandchildren: Kim Taylor and Mike Nunley both of Cleveland and Greg Turner and Sherry Turner both of AZ; nine great grandchildren; sisters: Margie Pickett of Whitwell and Dorothy Smith of Coalmount and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Ricky Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
