William "Charlie" Myers, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007 in a Chattanooga hospital.
He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for over 60 years. Mr. Myers was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was formerly employed by Magic Chef for 35 years and served in the Bradley County area as a residential electrician.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Willie Mae Myers on August 22, 2007; parents, Ernest Myers and Deette Coe Myers; sisters, Pauline Daffron and Nannie Massengil.
He is survived by his son, Herman Myers and wife, Dianne of Cleveland; two sisters, Bessie Thompson of Zepherhills, FL and Inez Shortie' Sutton and husband, Tip Sutton of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2007 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Truitt Cockrell and Pastor Dewayne White officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.

His family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at funeral home.
