Dorothy K. Murray

Dorothy K. Murray, age 75, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2007 in a local hospital. She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She was an avid "walker" because she loved to walk everyday. Mrs. Murray was the daughter of the late Lloyd Maddux and Lena Maddux and was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Lane and two brothers, Jack Maddux and Stevie Maddux.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dean Murray of Cleveland; three brothers: Dennis Maddux and wife, Louise Maddux of Old Fort, Sidney Maddux and Ronald Maddux both of Old Fort; two sisters, Mary Jo Owen and husband, Ed Owen of Cleveland and Barbara James and husband, D.C. James of Cleveland; special grand nephews: Tanner Massengill and Trever Massengill both of Rockford, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Murray Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
