Sara Elizabeth "Betty" Morrow, age 70, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, February 9, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her life was devoted to serving others. She was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. She was retired from Magic Chef with over twenty five years of service. She volunteered at Black Fox Elementary School for several years where she was honored as volunteer of the year.
Mrs. Morrow was the daughter of the late Herman A. Young and Lucy K. Rentfro Young and was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. "Bill" Morrow who passed away in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Laura M. and Ron Calfee of Cleveland; one grandchild, Miranda Calfee of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Russ Archer, Mitchell Brady, Robbie Stroud, Tim Edwards, Paul King and Rex Calfee will serve as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and also from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
