Emma Dean Messer

September 3, 1933 — February 18, 2008

Emma Dean Messer, 74, a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 at a local healthcare facility.

Ms. Messer was a lifelong resident of Bradley County and was of the Church of God faith. She was employed with the Church of God Publishing House for several years and worked at Hardwick Clothes for a number of years. She was a very kind and sweet person to all who met her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph E. Messer and Salley Mae Caywood Messer; brothers, A.J. Messer, Hubert Lee Messer and Elmer Messer; sister, Mary Lou Messer.

She is survived by one sister, Reba Riggs of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews and special friend Lottie Miller of Cleveland.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Moore's Chapel Cemetery with the Reverend Jack Smith officiating. Randy Lee Hampton, Taylor Dailey, Michael Hampton, Terry Brackin, Randy Olen Hampton and Robert Lynn will be serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Fike Funeral Home.
