Charles Lloyd "Mike" McFarland, 69, a resident of McDonald passed away Tuesday March 25, 2008 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. McFarland enjoyed fishing and camping. He always planted a garden in the spring.
Mr. McFarland served with the United States Air Force. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #134, the VFW and the American Legion, Post 81.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John McFarland and Elsie Mae McAlister McFarland.
He is survived by his brothers; Joe McFarland and wife Jenny of McDonald and Truman McDonald of Etowah, nieces; Anita McCormick, Ginger McFarland, Robin McFarland and Donna Goins, nephews; Troy McFarland, Johnny McFarland and special friend Elmer Henderson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday March 28, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral home with Reverend Bill Burke officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Church of God Cemetery with Military honors.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
