Frances Shugart Mason

Frances Shugart Mason, age 81, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, January 12, 2007 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a nurse for forty years working at Bradley Memorial Hospital then the Internal Medicine Group. She was a member of the Four Point Baptist Church. Mrs. Mason was the daughter of the late Sam Ellis and Virgie Staley. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Shugart and second husband, James "Doc" Mason and a sister, Vi Stalnacker.

She is survived by her two daughters and spouses: Patti and Iban Jackson and Von and David Conley all of Cleveland; two grandsons: Joey Jackson and David Conley, Jr. both of Cleveland; one brother, Blaine Ellis of Indiana; one sister, Louise Duprey of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Leroy Elliot and Reverend Danny Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
