T.R. "Ted" Lillard, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, December 04, 2007 in a local hospital. He attended First Baptist Church.
Mr. Lillard was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Marines. He was a well known television and radio repairman in this area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Garfield Lillard, Sr. and Sena Kirksey Lillard; sisters: Rachel Lillard, Nancy Lillard and Geraldine Brock; brothers: Melvin Lillard and George B. Lillard.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Eileen Pirkle Lillard of Cleveland; two sons and daughters-in-law: Danny and Marilyn Lillard of Lake Sherwood, MO and Gerald and Diane Lillard of Cleveland; two grandchildren: Kevin Lillard and wife, Casey of St. Charles, MO and Cindy Coblentz of Cleveland; four great grandchildren: Jessica Lillard and Scott Lillard of St. Charles,MO, Amber Coblentz and Will Coblentz of Cleveland; one sister, Sue Posey of Cleveland; two brothers: Joe Lillard and D.G. Lillard, Jr. and Peggy all of Cleveland; sisters-in-law: Betty Lillard of Cleveland and Doris Lillard of Huntsville, AL and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Abbott officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors. His nephews will be serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
