Emma Lee Crisp King, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2007 in a Chattanooga hospital. Before her retirement, she was a service representative for Bell South for 31 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Erwin Crisp; sister, Evelyn Fiske and brother, Robert E. Crisp, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Lyndal King of Cleveland; two children: Carrie L. Kennedy and husband, Larry of Bethlehem, GA and Julia L. Benton of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Stephanie Weeks of Loganville, GA, Joy Bates of Cleveland and Grant Benton of Bend, OR; four grandchildren: Trevor Weeks, Bodie Weeks, Ethan Bates and Georgia Bates; one sister, Johnnie Ratcliff of Cleveland; two brothers: Mitchell Crisp of Cleveland and Michael Crisp of Delano and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Larry Kennedy, Grant Benton, Kevin Bates, and Dr. Phil Newton, Ed Thacker and Jack Kennedy serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
