Diana L. King, 52, a resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2008. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a union carpenter with the Carpenter's Local #74 for the past 27 years.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Steve King of Cleveland; parents, Winfred Cross and Peggy Guinn Cross both of Cleveland; 6 children: John Daniel Smith of Cleveland, Leah Davis and husband, Scott of Englewood, Teresa Fauscette of Cleveland, Rachel Turner and husband, Daniel of Cleveland, Brad King and wife, Karrie of Memphis and Mac King of Cleveland; 4 grandchildren: Carolina Davis, Selena Turner, Lila Turner and Macy King; 2 brothers: Dennis Cross and wife, Sherry of Cleveland and Dexter Cross and wife, Geraldine of Benton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 27, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend B.J. Wall officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Mathew Mertz, Chris Watson, Jake Starnes, Michael Rucker, Clint Rankin and Curtis Trew serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
