Bobby (Bosco) Kerr, age 70, a native and longtime resident of Bradley County, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at his home in Gallatin, TN.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Kerr was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from A.T.&T. after thirty years of service. He loved his family; enjoyed fishing with the grandchildren and watching the VOLS play football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mary Pettit Kerr; sister, Mary Bivens; brothers: Barney Kerr and Eddie Kerr.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Godfrey Kerr of Gallatin; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Randa Kerr of Hendersonville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Barrie and Mike Stodgell of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren: Megan Stodgell, Daniel Stodgell, Todd Joseph Kerr, Emily Kerr and Olivia Kerr; sisters, Charlotte Bivens and Helen Kerr; brothers, William (Mac) Kerr and Gene Kerr all of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Robert G. Seaton officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Craig Bivens, John Bivens, Steve Bivens, Bobby Bivens, Kevin Kerr and Larry Lewis serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
