Rev Alonzo E. Justice

Reverend Alonzo E. Justice, age 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away, Sunday, July 2, 2006 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of North Cleveland Church of God where he served as a Senior Elder. Rev. Justice served as Chaplin of Bradley Memorial Hospital, Cleveland Community Hospital, Springfield MO Sheriff's Department and the Delaware State Police Department. He pastored in several churches in different states and was the Overseer in Trinidad and Tobago Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd M. Justice and Hattie Tull Justice; his wife, Venna Justice, who passed away in May 2006; son, Garth Eugene Justice; brother, Lloyd Maurice Justice and sister, Loriane Ward Baird.

Rev. Justice is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Rev. Jerry D. Justice and Sue Justice of Ooltewah and Tom D. Justice and Pauline Justice of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Donovan Eric Justice, Jarrod Andrew Justice, Garth Eugene Justice II, and Deanna Danielle Taulbee; one great grandchild, Garth Eugene Justice III; brothers; James Justice and Robert Justice both of PA and one sister, Maggie Potter of VA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 6, 2006 at North Cleveland Church of God with Reverend Jerry D. Justice and Reverend Mitch Maloney officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Garth Justice II, Donovan Justice, Jarrod Justice, Branden Taulbee, Doug Lancaster, Jimmy Reynolds and Fielding Randolph serving as pallbearers. A white dove release will conclude the service.

His family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Fike Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Thursday at North Cleveland Church of God.
