R. L. "Cotton" Hood

R. L. "Cotton" Hood, age 79, a resident of Bradley County, passed away, Saturday, March 17, 2007 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Hood was involved in activities at the Bradley County Senior Center. He was the son of the late Sam Hood and Maggie Rogers Hood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Hood; two brothers: Gene and Edward Hood and one sister, Celia Randolph.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Charles and Susan Hood of Cleveland and Jacky and Terri Hood of Homosassa, FL; one daughter, Sandra Hood of Crystal River, FL; three grandchildren: Jeremy Hood, Tony Hood and Regennia Martin; special friend Leona Geren and two special nieces that he called his secretaries, Linda Higgins and Shirley Carroll all of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Rev. Beecher White officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Station Memorial Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 4 to 7p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
