Mary "Deanie" Hannah, 82, a resident of Cleveland passed away Thursday February 21, 2008 in a local hospital.
She was a former member of South Cleveland United Methodist Church for 57 years where she was involved in the church quilting group for many years. Mrs. Hannah was most recently a member of the Cleveland Community Chapel. She was always active in the church choir wherever she worshiped. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School, class of 1943. Mrs. Hannah and her husband were in the retail grocery business for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Palmer and Flora Carroll Palmer; sisters, Lillian Maupin and Gladys Bird.
Mrs. Hannah is survived by her husband of 64 years Robert Hannah of Cleveland, daughter, Priscilla Conley and husband Herb of Cleveland; Rodney Hannah and wife Mary Ann of Canton, Georgia, grandchildren; Hanna Alisa Fowler and husband Barry, Amy Moore and husband Jeff, Tye Hannah and wife Jennifer, Seth Hannah, Adam Hannah and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Justin Fowler, Jacob Fowler, Caleb Fowler, Hannah Grace Moore, Evan Moore, Isabel Moore, Kaeden Hannah, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 23, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tye Hannah, Seth Hannah, Adam Hannah, Justin Fowler, Jacob Fowler, Mike Miller and Eddie Rogers serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
