Clarence Olen Hampton, age 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away, Thursday, November 9, 2006 at his residence. He was of the Church of God faith. For fifty years, Mr. Hampton was well known as an auto mechanic in this area. He was a member of the Cleveland Cycle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen Hampton and Albana Rose Hampton and his wife, Janice Ann Hampton.
He is survived by his son, Randy Hampton and wife, Diane of Cleveland; daughter, Tina Diane Moody and husband, Scott of Cleveland; grandchildren: Randy Hampton, Michael Hampton, Taylor Dailey, Chasity Dailey and Cameron Moody; brother, Kenneth Hampton; sisters: Imogene Johnson and Pauline Tallent all of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Leon Goforth officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Ken Johnston, Bud Davis, J.C. McMahan, Paul Dalton, Roy Gray and Jeff Wooden serving as pallbearers. Harold Graham, D.A. Sherlin, Hank Baldwin, Jerry Stinnett, Bob Bivens, Jeff Hampton and Jerry Wells will be serving as honorary pallbearers. The service will conclude with the release of a flock of white doves.
