Doris H. Hamilton

Doris H. Hamilton, 84, a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of the Valley Head United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hamilton was a former member of the Mouse Creek Home Demonstration Club and the Chatata Valley Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Jennings Brewer and June Elizabeth Rowe Brewer, her husband of 57 years Robert O. Hamilton, Sr., brothers, O.J. Brewer, Walter N. "Bill" Brewer and James Brewer; sisters, Oneita Ford, Treva Campbell, Mary Howard, Zieta Wallace and Martha Brewer.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Barbrow of Cleveland, Mary Thomason and husband Roy of Cleveland, son, Robert O. Hamilton, Jr. and wife Billie Sue of Cleveland, grandchildren; Bridget Blankenship, Robin Stinnett, Roy Gene Thomason, Jr., Buffy Thomason, Robby Hamilton, Emily Starnes and Avery Hamilton, and nine great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Johnson and husband Jen of Cleveland, brother, Robert E. Brewer and wife Eleanor of Parsonsburg, Maryland, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday February 19, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Arp and Minister Todd Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the New Friendship Cemetery Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Robby Hamilton, Avery Hamilton, Roy Gene Thomason, Steve Blankenship, Jake Starnes, Will Stinnett and Rocky Stinnett serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
