Charlie Griffin, 62, a resident of Cleveland, passed away June 2, 2008 in a local hospital. He attended Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Griffin was a chemical technician with Olin Corporation for 35 years. He served in the Tennessee National Guard Company B 117th Infantry.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Johnnie Faye Hubbard Griffin of Cleveland; 1 son, Anthony Shane Griffin and 1 grandchild, Kaitlyn Savannah Griffin both of Cleveland; several brothers and sisters; mother-in-law, Dorothy Hubbard Durham; 2 brothers-in-law, U. F. Hubbard, Jr. and Forrest Burke; 2 sisters-in-law, Wanda Sue Burke and Juanita Hubbard all of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews; special family: Reba Rogers, Randy "Doc" Rogers both of Cleveland, Alton Rogers, Darrell Rogers and their families all of Cleveland.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 5, 2008 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Guinn Green officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Fike Funeral Home.
