Beatrice Eliza Green, 80, a native of Cleveland passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 in a local healthcare facility.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Jim Strickland and Roxie Hall Strickland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Clyde Green; brother, J.R. Strickland and sister, Charlene Strickland Richardson.
Survivors include son, J.C. Green and wife Janice of Cleveland; daughter, Josephine White of Cleveland and Linda Boring and husband Leon of Farner, Tn., brother, Taylor Strickland of Winder, Ga., sisters, Ethel Michaels of Spring City, Sue Roe, Jeanette Davis and Nina Cartwright of Cleveland, Opal Casteel of Athens, Francis White of Benton and Anne Staton of Riceville; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1p.m. Tuesday, March 25 in the chapel of Fike Funeral home with the Reverend John Bivens and Reverend Jeff Bentley officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tim Boring, Tyler Boring, Dustin Boring, Joey White, Robert Elliott and Wes Floyd serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
