Margaret M. Geren, age 87, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Blue Springs Church of God. She retired from American Uniform Company after thirty-five years. Mrs. Geren enjoyed her flowers, caring for her grandchildren and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Coleman and Okie Shoemaker Coleman; her husband of 68 years, Theodore Geren; grandson, Michael Cissom and son-in-law, John Cissom; brothers, Bernard Coleman and O. L. Coleman, Jr.; sister, Louise "Tommye" Snyder.
She is survived by two daughters: Jimmie Delores Cissom and Jane Hall both of Cleveland; three sons and spouses: Buddy Geren, Ray Geren and wife, Brenda, Steve Geren and wife, Sissy all of Cleveland; six grandsons and spouses: Bobby Cissom of McDonald, Roger Cissom, Dewayne Cissom and wife, Robin, Scott Hall and wife, Sandi, Shane Hall and wife, Tina all of Cleveland and Matt Geren and wife, Cammie of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter, Christie Geren of Tampa, FL; four great grandchildren: Whitney Hall, Shyla Hall, Chelsie Hall and Brandon Cissom all of Cleveland; one sister, Dema Coleman of Cleveland; a half brother, Ronald Coleman of Smyrna, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Jeannie Cissom officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Ray Geren, Steve Geren, Bobby Cissom, Roger Cissom, Dewayne Cissom, Matt Geren, Scott Hall, and Shane Hall will be serving as pallbearers.
